INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Use of the Nasal Net
Classical Ayurvedic texts describe how all substances in nature contain the energy and intelligence of Universal Consciousness and, therefore, all have healing value when used appropriately. For this reason, Ayurveda, in addition to utilizing the healing properties of foods, oils, prana, and herbs, recommends the use of metals such as copper.
Copper's natural anti-pathogenic properties are effective in reducing and eliminating bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Today, neti pots are available in various materials, but those traditionally used by yogis and Ayurvedic sages are made of copper.
The use of the Nasal Neti Pot is an ancestral practice recommended to cleanse the respiratory tract and promote better air and prana flow into the body.
How to use the Nasal Net?
• Fill the Nasal Neti pot with warm water and 3/4 tsp. of sea salt and mix well.
• Lean your body forward and tilt your head to insert it into the upper opening of your nose.
• Breathe deeply through your mouth and allow the water to flow gently out through the opposite nostril.
• Remove excess water with a couple of short, strong exhalations and repeat in the other nostril.
• The water from the septic tank is enough to clean both pits.
How to clean a neti pot?
When you want to restore its shine and remove the stains that form as a natural part of copper oxidation, fill it with a mixture of lemon juice, salt, and water and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then rinse with water. Do not use a scouring pad or anything that could scratch the copper.
