WHAT IS GHEE

What is Ghee?

Ghee is known as the Gold of Ayurveda. It is more than just clarified butter, as the long, manual cooking process removes carbohydrates (lactose), proteins (casein), water, and impurities, resulting in a versatile, nutritious, and long-lasting fat.

Ghee is one of the healthiest fats for the body, as it is made with organic, unsalted butter, contains no trans fatty acids, and does not raise cholesterol levels.

Ghee is one of the essential ingredients in Ayurvedic cuisine due to its versatility. You can add it to your favorite dishes like purees, pasta, and rice; use it for baking and roasting; or spread it on toast. It's ideal for sweet dishes and a real find for those who enjoy making cookies, cakes, muffins, and other desserts.

It is a healthy fat that has been prepared and used for thousands of years. Besides India, where it originated, it was consumed in much of Europe and the world before refrigeration became available.

Because it contains no water, ghee doesn't require refrigeration and is perfectly suitable for long journeys. It can be stored in the refrigerator or cellar for years. Ayurveda states that 50-year-old ghee can cure most unwanted physical and spiritual ailments.

Its smoke point, the point at which molecules begin to break down and toxins are produced, is high (250˚C), which is well above the usual cooking temperature (180˚-200˚C), therefore making it an ideal oil for cooking at high temperatures, much better than most vegetable oils that usually have a low smoke point, with the exception of coconut oil.

Its golden yellow color, pleasant aroma, versatility, and exquisite flavor make Ghee a perfect vehicle for the properties of food and nutrients, maintaining optimal body functions.

"Ghee increases intellect, promotes longevity, and is an aphrodisiac that protects the body from numerous diseases."

WHY USE MEGHEE?

MeGhee is 100% clarified goat butter, used for culinary and/or therapeutic purposes.

Looking back through history, we find that goat butter was prized as an extraordinary food in ancient Egypt, where it was placed in the tombs of the pharaohs alongside other valuables. Its unique qualities were also recognized by many European ladies, who used it to preserve the beauty of their skin.

Goats include tree and shrub shoots, as well as various types of grasses, in their diet, resulting in an intake of up to 15% more different plant species compared to other grazing animals. Because of their diet, which is based on a wide range of fibers, the fat droplets in goat milk are very small, more dispersed, and therefore easier to digest.

This characteristic makes goat products especially recommended for children and the elderly. Compared to other types of milk, goat's milk is considered the most similar to breast milk, which is why it was traditionally given to babies when their mothers did not produce their own milk.

MeGhee, along with its easy digestion, has a special flavor and color that will make your meals an exquisite moment.
